Magnet Programs

The Magnet Late Application for magnet programs with availability is now open and will remain open through March 21, 2018.  Please note: there are no seats available for Elementary Magnet Programs.  Visit the application page.

Please contact the Office of Magnet Programs between the hours of 8:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday through Friday for additional information. 

Magnet schools offer specialized pathways of learning and focused themes that attract a diverse population of students throughout Huntsville City Schools.  A variety of themes are available that include creative and performing arts, International Baccalaureate, foreign language, biomedical science, computer science, technology, engineering, math, gifted & talented, and early college.  Students from across the district may apply to Magnet Programs.

The Magnet Application for The Academy for Academics and Arts, The Academy for Science and Foreign Language, Lee Performing Arts High School, New Century Technology High School and Columbia IB Programme is now closed for the 2018-2019 school year. 

Grades 6-12 applicants are required to participate in the next step, audition/essay process.
